Contestants: Please be sure to check this thread weekly or you might miss out on a contest! - Rascii   Caves Dweller Rascii Administrator     8/18/2013  1 Contest #1: One small step for Creatures, one giant leap for Creaturekind Must be completed by Friday, August 23rd While making your way around the spaceship on which you have awoken, you notice some shuttle pods in the docking bay. For the first contest, you must take one of the shuttle pods down to the planet which the space ship has been orbiting. It's quite a short ride, but details of the planet are not known yet. All the information you can find on the planet using the information kiosks located around the ship includes: - Ship is purposefully orbiting this particular planet - Planet seems to be able to sustain some sort of living forms, though this has not been confirmed - Full atmosphere conditions are unknown - Climate is very hot Please write a journal entry this week explaining your journey down to the planet, what you discover, and (hopefully) your journey back to the ship. Feel free to post any related photos in the image galleries. Please note: Contests do not have any direct effect on who is booted off the island each week. However, if people notice that a contestant doesn't participate in a contest, it may influence how they vote. - Rascii   Caves Dweller Rascii Administrator     8/27/2013 Contest #2: An Illustration from the Planet Must be completed by Friday, August 30th For this week's contest, you must draw a picture of your character exploring the planet. Feel free to include things that have happened in your journal. The image must be posted in the Art gallery. If you're not good at drawing, you can mash up pictures/photographs that you find online. Good luck! - Rascii   Caves Dweller Rascii Administrator     9/9/2013  1 Contest #3: A Map of the Space Ship Must be completed by Friday, September 13th Now that you've all had plenty of time to familiarize yourselves with the Survivor space ship, please draw a map of the ship from your character's point of view. There is no right or wrong answer, so please base your map on your experiences with the ship. All images must be posted in the Art gallery to be considered a complete submission. Must be completed by Friday, September 27th For this week's contest, which is also probably the final contest, you must write a special journal entry. Today, upon waking up, you found a note in your room: It was a message instructing you to head down to to the planet in order to collect some specimens for experimentation purposes. However, after landing on the planet and collecting some items from the list, you begin to notice something off in the distance: some dark, foreboding clouds underneath which you see everything is turning solid brown -- a sand storm! You realize how quickly it is heading in your direction and attempt to make your way back to the pod before it hits. Will you make it back out of the atmosphere in time? Or will your pod get sucked back towards the planet and crash? Or will you trip and not even make it to the pod? Good luck, remaining three! - Rascii
