I found one tutorial about this, but the approach seemed... a little odd. I seem to recall reading a much more direct way to do it, but I can't remember how it worked, nor find the other tutorial I think I saw. What's the best approach for this?

My personal favorite method for easy and reliable compiling of any type of agent is this: take one that already functions well, at least considering the PRAY part, use Jagent to shred it into bits (it has a decompile function), replace the important bits like name, sprites and core script... or in your case name and genome, then run it back through Jagent to get a whole piece again.
Not a particularly elegant method, but it works like a charm.

That's clever Papriko. Also, that reminds me I need to get Jagent again.
I had no idea PrayEgger was a thing! Beautiful. Thank you so much!
