Does anyone want to work on (do the coding for) an agent with me? My idea is for a mushroom like in the C3 jungle that needs a plant or weed to grow and would actually grow on the plant or weed. Sort of like how the dragonfly nymphs need to climb up out of the water. Would this be possible? I have the sprites basically done, they're just a color modification of the C3 jungle mushroom sprites. |

No one? Is this too ambitious? Anyone want to give me tips as to where to start if I want to do it myself? |

I can't really help you, but that's an awesome idea. Parasitic mushrooms. Why hasn't anybody done this before?? I don't think it's too ambitious, I'm sure there must be a way to tell it to "only grow if you're touching a plant or weed".

Oh, it can be done. Not sure if it'd work on plants like the Bramboo though, they're special, but regular plants should be parasitable easily.
Try looking into a basic plant script and get them to grow like that, then have a look at the CAOS guide. There's a command that tells you if a certain point is on a visible pixel of a certain agent. This way you can check if the mushroom is actually touching the plant so it can grow without hanging in the air. You'll also have to keep track of when the host plant grows/moves/dies so the mushroom can fall off when not on the plant anymore. It'll be tricky, but doable.
