I am creating the "Nobell Creatures Prize" which is basicly reconition for a valuble contribution to the creatures community. It's a very high honor, and right now I am the only one who can grant it, although there will be others later on.
The fact that you were bestowed the Nobell Creatures prize will also be on your C wiki bio if you want it. If you want to get rid of it later, you can.
I've already got two people for the Nobell Creatures Prize. They are: Dementchild for contribution of a special code which you can use to edit web pages (web pages will only be edited on your computer, not anyone else's, so no worries. See Gameware Forums). And Draconorn for her contribution of the discovery of special norn sprites for C2.
And yes, it's spelled "Nobell" for a reason.

Good luck I have no reason to be a recipient, tho. I'm such a dummy.

I wouldn't exactly call those valuable contributions.
I mean, honestly, Dement professes that he doesn't even play the games anymore and that they're stupid. Why would you want to award him for a random code that has nothing to do with the games at all?
Just my two cents. Won't bother you again. |

Any great accomplisment in the creatures community. That doesn't specificly mean creatures.

Sorry. Can't ask for a prize for yourself. You can sugest others though.
Unless you tell us just what you contributed to Cwiki's ecology.
The Peanut butter banana one I'll think about.

Well I haven't been in the "creatures community" long enough to give any suggestions for nominees but that does sound like a cool idea. |

It's spelled nobell because I wanted to do a parody on Nobel. It's like you get an award, but No bell. Just strange humor.

is that assuming that other awards do have a bell?
Anyway, dear, creatures and its community have been around for ten years, and I must say that there are simply more important things out there than some site code by someone who thinks creatures is bs in the first place.
do a little research to more than a month ago before giving out the 'prestigious' awards. Start with the wiki.
...and how about the creator of the wiki. GR has spent hours and hours of effort into making this encyclopedia available. Look into some major passionate creations like that if you want to point out those noteworthy of awards.

Where's my nominations?
Not really active around these parts anymore. |

GR gets one.
And anyone can get one, Angel. Just because they hate creatures NOW doesn't mean they arn't intitled to an award.
Indeed, Don and everyone who worked on C12DS have already been rewarded. As well as several others.

This seems like an off-shoot of existing creatures community awards.
Nine times have I been told im crazy and ten times I have accepted it. |

Well, this is basicly all the awards combined and made very elite.

Uhm.
I have yet to see somewhere where Don or I have been rewarded or awarded anything for the CCSF - actually, a lot of the feedback we receive/d has been negative. Just a point.
Honestly, I don't think yet another contest is the best way to reward people for contributions to the community - instead, why not show your appreciation by creating something, and giving to the whole Creatures Community?
Just my 2C.

I just don't see how you calling it "elite" makes it elite.

1. It's not a contest.
2. I was joking at the eliet part.

Right then. Why not clarify the qualifications to get one of these things?
Nine times have I been told im crazy and ten times I have accepted it. |
KC11
|

Okay. The qualifications are:
1. You must participate in the Creatures Community.
2. You must not be a member who has a bad reputation, (I.E., a member who loves to flame others for a living cannot get this award unless he/she shapes up.)
3. The contribution must be able to have a big impact on the Creatures Community. It also has to be as original as possible. (That means that someone who just took the Butterfly Norns, altered them a little, created the aquatic flyers, and then demanded an award can't get it.)
4. You cannot ask for the award yourself. (That is as bad as asking for the winning ticket of the lottery. You aren't going to get it. However, you can suggest others for nomination.)
So those are the four rules.

Might.
Wow! It's been ages since I've been here!
Anyway, I don't think the website would come out so great, seeing as I am using tripod, and judging by the success of my KC11 site.

I wish I could be a part of the creatures community. I'm no good at CAOS spriting or anything.

You don't need to be involved in all that CAOS and development jazz to be part of the Creatures Community, I'm not. Just being a fan of Creatures is enough, and it's always good to see new members posting well in the forums.
KC11, is this Nobell Creatures Prize still going on? |
KC11
|
3/20/2007 | |
Sort of. I haven't seen to many accomplishments yet. Still, I don't really look about to much. Mostly stuck in RPs or video games. XD
But yes, it is still going on, however unsaid this topic is.
