General Forum Collage and Creatures     tabbykit   6/15/2020  4 Hey guys! This is my first post here-- I wanted to share a little story from my class the other day! So, I teach at a local arts center. During pandemic-times we are unfortunately unable to hold classes in the building itself; as such I'm teaching classes via Zoom and google classroom. This month's class has been Dynamic Collage. My class is pretty much entirely older woman-- so I knew they'd PROBABLY never seen anything quite like Creatures. At the end of one of my classes I told them I had a bit of a treat for them, set up screen-share and showed them Creatures 1 and it's collage-style background. I gotta' say it was a success! Lots of "oos" and "ahs" and "Oh that's so cute!" haha. Anyways, I didn't realize myself that Creatures had so much digital collage in it's backgrounds until I started teaching this class. The people who designed these backgrounds did an excellent job of creating a believable, bright and interesting little world in which to raise our strange friends!   Peppery One Papriko   6/15/2020  4 Oh, that sounds really nice! As for the background, I think Creatures 1 in particular actually uses digitized images of a real diorama for it's background. The original is even in a museum somewhere. Lets play plants!
