Help your C2 Norns eat, with these COBs

I found some old COBs I had, that modifies some of the items in C2, like the nuts, tomatos. Norns stop trying to eat them, when they stop being edible.

This actually helps a lot. Allso, if you want to help your Norns sleep, you can tell it to look at the hand, and when it does, pick up an object. This forces the Norn to look at itself, and most Norns fall asleep when you do this, unless there are a lot of things to distract them... If they sleep more, they become smarter, and even the Norns that come with the game ( I use them ) stop suffering from the OHSS problem... So they will eat better, and sleep better. (the sleep trick isn't a COB). I can try to make a video tutorial on this, if someone tells me how.

I also included a COB that makes critters edible. It seems that the more objects can be eaten, the more useful the Norns think the eating action is, and it will help them remember how to do it. Repetition and consistansy, is the best way for Norns to learn, it seems. They get confused when an action isn't used a lot.

Here are the COBs:

I'll add more that I find usefull later, that I can't find on the internett anymore.

Thanks for sharing these lost COBs! If anyone would like to read up about the majority of them, check out Dreams of Albia. I was so intrigued by the descriptions of these COBs that I reconstituted the Modified Carrots and Potatoes for the 2016 CCSF.

I can't check out the link right now, but I remember that zap had a cob that let creatures walk in and out of the boats (this one is integrated in one of MrNstuffs COBs, that messes up sleeping habits and wall bonking. It should be possible to extract it from that COB, for people who understand programming).

Zap also made the only functioning wraparound fix. If it's available on that site, my heart will explode in the best way possible!

Also, thanks for remaking his carrot and potato fix. Bin looking for that for years! Wish I had backed the files up with the nuts and tomatos. (I do have his modified bats, and will add them to my page. I don't use them myself, as I find it usefull for them to eat the shrooms. Shrooms can be eaten by push, pull and eat, and that messes up the Norns)

I can't COBle, but I've played C2 for like 15 years so if anyone with COBing skils is available, I know a lot of things that need fixing, that will make the world consistant enough for the Norns to function a lot better. Don't think the fixes would be hard to make either.

Unfortunately, no. The wayback machine didn't try to archive the zips until 2011 apparently, and by then it was too late :/

Ah, too bad!

It managed to fix the secondary wraparound bug. The one that is left of the incubator, where the desert leads to the hanging bridge.

There isn't actually a wraparound point there, but that location still has the same type of problem, and it sort of prevents natural exploration to a point, as the only way for a norn to get passed that point, is by either thinking of traveling left, or by being pushed. If it is standing in the desert and trying to get to an object by the bridge (or get from the elevator to the first power up, or the swamp to the garden etc) it will just move the wrong way. Maybe there are room link problems there?

Oh, is there? @GimmeCat worked on Better Albia and fixed a few of those issues, I don't know if that's one of them.

According to the Creatures Wiki, the standalone walk-on-walk-off boats are archived!

No, it's referring to the COB I wrote about, that is supposed to fix wallbonking, but doesn't, and instead messes up sleeping habits.

I think she already had a look at all the rooms in a diagonal line at the point where this problem exists, and couldn't find anything wrong.

Try the second link, the file name and description doesn't reference mrnstuff.

Ah, sorry, you're right! Thanks! That page used to be my go to page for the COBs I liked. It's great to see it was arkived! <3

I thought that was where the secondary wraparound fix was hosted as well, but it seems I remembered incorrectly.
