I thought it might be helpful to have a list of the goals set by the community for the creatchi side of the site, so that anyone who wants to help out with one can easily figure out which one to help with and how to do it! If you have a project you'd like added to the list, let me know and I'll add it. I would also appreciate it if people could please fill me on the 'how to help' parts as I have no clue what is needed for them, due to not really being a part of any projects.

Project: Grey Ettinchis
Description: If you take a look at the creatchi stats page, you'll notice there's only one kind of creatchi that has never existed before: grey ettinchis. This project aims to remedy this situation!
Help required:
- Tracking colours of any ettinchi eggs laid by taking screenshots of stats page before egg is laid and comparing screenshot to the page after birth.
- Leaving comments on any egg that may be black or white to help them stand out.
- Letting people who adopt said eggs know about the Grey Ettinchi Project, and that these eggs are quite important.
- Attempting to produce more black or white ettinchis would almost certainly be
appreciated! Just be careful not to wipe either colour from existence. Please note that red ettinchis should not be used to produce more white ettinchis as this is likely to produce pink! If there are any other possibly detrimental combos, let me know so I can add them.
- Making sure that when a pair of black and white eggs of opposite genders are available, they are adopted at about the same time so that they are able to breed.
- Once a grey ettinchi is born, making sure it has children so it won't be the last one. Tracking and marking could be useful here.

Project: Pink Grendelchis
Description: Pink grendelchis have been on the site before, but they died out. This project aims to bring them back!
Help required:
- Tracking white grendelchis using the same method detailed for the Grey Ettinchi project.
- Marking possible white eggs with a comment.
- Hatching first gen eggs of the appropriate gender until one hatches red to be a mate for a white grendelchi.
- Ensuring that the pink grendelchis have children. Tracking and marking them may also be a good idea.

Project: Creatchi RP
Description: When Creatchi was still new, many people gave their creatchis detailed bios and roleplayed their creatchi with those of other users. This project aims to bring those days back!
Help needed:
- Make a nice bio for your creatchi. Doesn't have to be the most intricate character ever, there just has to be enough to work with. What do they like? What's their back story? How do they act? All are good things to consider!
- Interact with other people's creatchis! Just make sure they actually want to RP with you first.

Project: Creatchi Mart Restocking
Description: The mart often runs out of apples and balls, the cheap food and toys, which makes it difficult to care for creatchis later on in their lives. This project aims to ease this difficulty!
Help needed:
- Sell apples and balls whenever you can! Hopefully, everyone should be able to access the cheap stuff when they need to if this is done.

Project: Keeping the Bloodlines Pure
Description: At the time of writing, there are several grendelchi colours available for adoption, including pink, purple and lime. In order to keep these colours alive, some effort needs to be made to avoid them intermingling! This project aims to keep these grendelchi colours alive and diverse; one of the side effects this project should have is that less inbreeding will occur. While inbreeding has no actual effect on creatchis, it is nice to have clearly defined bloodlines and creatchis that aren't all related to each other!
Help needed:
- Offering to hatch a first gen mate for grendelchis of the listed colours will always be appreciated, as the mixed colours do seem to take priority over the basic colours! This will also serve to keep the bloodlines from merging together and becoming cluttered.
- As always, tracking and marking is a good idea so people can plan their adoptions ahead of time, making organisation just that little bit easier.

Project: Brown Creatchis
Description: There are many possible colours for creatchis, but one that hasn't been seen for a very long time on any species is brown. This project aims to remedy this situation!
Help needed:
- Hatch first gens! Brown happens when a red creatchi breeds with a green creatchi, both of which are colours most commonly seen in first gens.
- If you notice that your creatchi could produce brown if paired with someone else's creatchi (e.g, you have a female green grendelchi and someone else has a male red grendelchi), ask if you can pair up with them! Make sure to be polite though: if they already have a pairing planned, it might be an idea to move on.
- Tracking and marking is always appreciated.

Is there any way to make items cheaper and coins more abundant? I'm out of food, toys and scoops...and have 6 coins.

This isn't really the right topic for discussing this, Dark_Author. This is about projects that can be accomplished by members of the community banding together, and only Rascii can make changes to the way Creatchi works. Please save any discussion of coins and items for Creatchi Central II. If you post in there, you might also get some helpful tips for finding more items. ;)

For the Gray Ettinchi Project to produce any results, we need to have a male and female of breeding age alive at the same time, one white and one black. They can be siblings, so that's not an issue. I've been keeping track of black and white Ettinchis' offspring via the statistics page, checking to see if the color count changes when an egg is laid and leaving a note if I think it contains a black or white Ettinchi.

This strategy is a bit hit-and-miss, since it doesn't take into account black or white Ettinchis produced by other pairings, and it could become confusing if there's a bunch of Ettinchis breeding at the same time. I suggest we all band together to monitor the color count. Any time any Ettinchi egg is laid, the black and white Ettinchi tabs need to be checked out. If the color count of one is up, we'll have a pretty good idea of what is in the egg, and can leave a note on it.

When there's at least one black female and one white male egg or vice versa, then we should try and make sure they're adopted at roughly the same time. Unfortunately, there's no way to "reserve" eggs, so it could present a stumbling block if the egg is adopted by a less-than-active user. However, I don't think there's anything wrong with politely pointing out that the egg is important, and maybe linking back to this thread as an explanation of why. (Who knows - it could bring more people to the project!)

Another possible project is breeding some more pink Grendelchis. They've died out. :(

@Dark_Author- I don't actually have any control over that, so I am the wrong person to ask. I'm just trying to help the Creatchi side of the site have a bit more coordination, and a place for people to go if they want to know what they can do. Hopefully it works!
@yluklun- Thanks for all that info! Will definitely try to help keep track of black and white eggs. Pink creatchis would be a result of red x white, yeah?

The Pink Grendelchi Project would work much the same way. However, a red and white pair would be required instead of a black and white pair. Red is easier to get than black, so it may simply be a matter of a few people adopting first gens of the relevant gender until a red hatches, then another adopting the white egg (assuming there is one). After that, it would be important to ensure that the line doesn't die out.

Another possible project: Reviving the culture of Creatchi RPing! This used to be a common activity when Creatchi was new, but hardly anyone ever does it now, and when they do it's just a few paragraphs here and there. It would be great to have that level of activity in the comments section again, with people creating detailed, RP-relevant bios for their Creatchis and plots spanning multiple generations.

Ett is being paired with Little Boy Blue, so they might have black or white Ettinchi when they're older :D.

You know...wait...nevermind... wait...no...umm...maybe later...

@yluklun- All of that stuff has been put on the list! I've also added descriptions to each project to avoid confusion.
@Vermidia- We'll be sure to keep an eye on their offspring then!

What about a project to try and collectively restock some of the Creatchi Mart? I know people like to sell their inventory back to the mart before their creatchi dies, but it looks like we need more of the affordable, ¢2 items in stock, like apples and balls.

Perhaps next time someone has a spare ball or apple handy they could consider re-selling it? :) I've been trying to sell any apples and balls I come across and rely on the carrots and rubber duckies instead.

I've added that to the list! Good idea, by the way.

It looks like we need to start building up the supply of apples and balls in the Creatchi Mart again, if anyone would like to help by selling off their spares. Last week we had 9 apples and 11 balls up for sale at one point, and it was amazing!

This is probably a given, but to ensure that there's enough apples and balls to go around, please try and only purchase what you need at any one time. This would be fairer to everyone, especially those who are low on coinchi and can't buy the more expensive items. I'd hate to think that people are just buying out the stock because the apples and balls are more sought after, and it would defeat the point of this little project.

Thanks, and thanks also for all the help so far! :)

Either the Statistics page may not be as accurate a predictor as we think it is, or I might have miscounted despite spending nearly seven hours sifting through the graveyard and living pages tallying by hand. Which is quite possible either way. Here's a screencap of what I ended up with:

Note that this is current as of 7am pst.

I was figuring that by adding together how many were dead and how many were alive, and then subtracting from what the statistics gave us, it might give us a little more insight as to what our pool of eggs could be. And which combination of creatchi + color that could be worked on besides what was already listed.

I do have an observation I've made over the years about how the Black and White creatchis are produced. They are a spontaneous mutation that occasionally breeds true, but they seem to appear more often when we cross secondary base colors-Lime(Green+Yellow), Aqua(Green+Blue), Orange(Red+Yellow), Purple(Red+Blue), and Brown(Green+Red)-with each other. Purple creatchis appear to be a very likely candidate for commonly producing Black or White offspring. Which if that is the case....I dread picking my next grendelchi because I have yet to raise a purple one but the last couple of times I picked one, thinking I'd get a purple, I ended up with a black one and a white one! [nlaugh]

From the depths of Deep Lurkspace I emerge... And suddenly can't remember what it is I came up for.

That certainly would have taken a lot of time, Mioonktoo! There's always the possibility for miscounts, but it looks to be fairly accurate their. I can confirm that either of Syndra and Luigi's children could be the purple grendelchi egg, but I don't know which it will be.

Now that there's pink grendelchis, purple grendels, and I believe a fair few lime grendelchis, I'm thinking a good project would be to try and keep those colors from intermingling as long as possible.

Not only for the sake of keeping the colors alive, but also so there's three separate bloodlines. All of the old bloodlines, if they haven't died out, have all merged together by now.

Also, for a new color-breeding project: there hasn't been brown grendelchis for a while. In fact I don't think there's been any brown creatchis period for a while. It'd be nice to see some again.

Brown is red + green, if I remember right.

Added them to the list, Grendel Man! I've never actually seen a brown creatchi of any sort during my time here, so I'd be down to help with that project if I could. In fact, I think there's a pure red and a pure green nornchi in the adopt page! They're the same gender, so they can't breed themselves, but it would make arranging mates for first gens a whole lot easier.

Brown is easy to get, so I'm not sure why it's so rare, but that's always been the case.

To be honest, I lose overview over this kind of stuff far too easily. If I can help out adopting a particular egg or breeding it with a certain other creatchi, let me know, otherwise I don't know.
For the apples and balls, I usually tend to swim in rubber ducks anyway, so I guess I can sell off some of the small items and use my ducks. No joke, sometimes I use rubber ducks as sole toy and still end up with 5 of them :P
