Naga could count herself as a member of the Manonoa dynasty, descended from the dragon Dracona. Her brother was Smaug, who was far from the nicest of Creatchis and desired the world for himself, simply because it was there. With relatives like these, Naga had the potential to be just as nasty as they were.

Fortunately, Naga didn't see it fit to follow in their footsteps. As opposed to Smaug's view that the world was his for the taking, she was outright scared of it and never did truly leave her hatching area. She was actually fairly cowardly in general; while she wasn't the sort to freak out over every single sound, it also didn't take much to get her racing up the nearest tree.

Outside of this, she was fairly friendly, if not one with a strong head for adventure.

Surprisingly enough, there was someone out there who could get through to her despite her cowardice; an inventive yellow grendelchi with the long name of Heimerdinger. It didn't take long for them to fall in love and have two children, both of whom she lived to see hatched. She loved her family dearly, even if most of the time she didn't join them in their wanderings.

Despite herself, when it came time for her to pass on to the great beyond, she faced it with a surprising amount of courage and satisfied with her accomplishments in life. Alongside her ancestors, she will watch over her descendants from the Great Beyond.

It has been a few days since Naga was born, and in that time frame she feels she has gotten somewhat of a hang of this thing other creatchis called "life." If nothing else, she can tend to her needs decently.

However, she has yet to truly leave the patch of forest where her egg was laid. Sure, she wandered out a few times. She even met some other creatchis, most of whom treated her rather nicely. Yet, it never seemed more than an hour or two before she went back into the forest.

For now, it's not a life she thinks is worth complaining about. It was simply that this was the place she felt the most comfortable at. Venturing outside this area always gives her the chills. She couldn't quite put her finger on why; nobody she met on her excursions out ever really rejected her, and she's yet to come across anything utterly dangerous. Is it just simple fear of the unknown?

It's an odd dichotomy of emotions. She knows there's more to life than just hanging around this place all the time, yet she's too scared to leave it and make the most out of it. Unable to resolve the conflict to a satisfying result, she's still living here. At least there's plenty of food, and her colors helped her blend in with the scenery.

This day has so far been no different from the last. She spent most of it practicing hunting, stalking and pouncing on whatever critter happened to stumble into her abode. She never actually ate them; she kept them for a while and occasionally batted them around, but she always let them go when she was done. For some reason, the thought of killing and eating them unnerved her. Why should she, when there's plenty of other food sources to go around that didn't require such effort?

By her standards, it has been rather fruitful. Maybe those skills will come in handy someday. For now, however, she retreats to the nest she built underneath one of the trees. She curls up, and after one wistful glance out into space and a small sigh, she dozes off.

I think that's because so many color combos make aqua, since there's two ways to make green.

Chances are that the kids will wind up looking like Ice Rose.

Aqua is sadly an extremely dominant color and is practically guaranteed to be the main color on the offspring of aqua/other pairings (which helps explain why it's the most common color for ettinchis and grendelchis). The only exceptions are when the kids wind up being white or black instead, which are fairly rare as far as I can tell.

I really hope my Aquachi doesn't kill Naga's nice colors.

I think the crimson stripes are really Cool on black.

Tybalt curls up around the new egg for a nap, a half-finished gadget clutched between his taloned paws.
