The forums have returned! I have finally finished all of the features for them and they are ready for business. There have been some great improvements (such as a brand new, fully functional post tracking system) yet I've kept the same general feel that everyone has grown to love. If anyone out there is thinking about opening a site, I'd love to help out. Despite the fact that this one will probably be closing late September, that doesn't mean I'm leaving.  So if anyone wants help with a new PHP site, or would like someone to help manage it, just give me a shout at the contact page.I just want something a little more part time than creating and running a large community hub. Maybe I should just turn Creatures Caves into a community forum... |

 Looks like it has been almost two months since my last post here at good ol' Creatures Caves. Who knows if anyone still checks the news, but I just wanted to say hello to everyone out there that I used to chat and associate with. If anyone feels like it, I would appreciate it if someone could send me a message or email me via the contact page and let me know what (if anything) has been going on in the community. I was hoping that I would return only to find that CL had released a new game or something really exciting but it doesn't look like that is the case. But I'm sure there is lots of other fun stuff going on (such as the Canopy which looks very nice). Also, I've been trying to contact Sharon and I have the feeling that her creaturesinc.com email address no longer works. If anyone knows how I can contact her (email, MSN, JRC, anything) just let me know. I'd be very grateful. In addition, if you are one of the people on the following list please contact me: angel51431, Karias, Gryph, Erin, Don, HuffaMoose, and anyone else who would like to give me a shout. I would love to hear from you. For those of you who sit around all night thinking, "self, when is Creatures Caves going to be finished and return to its coolest-site-in-the-community status?" (of which I'm sure there are many), don't kill the messenger, but I doubt I will be working on the site anymore. The community just seems to be too dead and I'm not so sure that all of the hours I would have to put in would be worth it. Although I would like the forums to return, so I may try to complete those sometime soon. And finally, the creaturescaves.com domain expires in September, and I have the feeling that I won't be renewing it. Looks like we will just have to wait and see... |

Moe and I decided to release a little preview of what will be in the canopy. These are the Boomba Trees, they produce fruit for your norns and are very interesting to grow. You can get your little bit of the canopy here and you can also post your comments about these plants here |

Ever wanted to listen to the Creatures music? I did, and so I figured I'd make something to help me do just that. Well, a year or so and a twenty-thousand word dissertation later, it's done! The MNGTools can be used to play all the music from Creatures 2, Creatures 3 and Docking Station, as well as for editing and making new music of your own - finally, new music is possible for metarooms! Want to find out more? Visit the forums and learn what you can do with MNGPlayer and MNGPad, and where to get copies. I hope you all enjoy using them! |

 Unfortunately, everyone's good friend MNB has decided to leave the CC "for good." Who knows if he will ever change his mind, but until then, I'm sure we will all miss his company, excellent metarooms and agents, and all of his other wonderful contributions. I know I will still continue visiting Creatures Mainframe in hopes of an "I'm Back" news post, but until then, farewell, MNB! And good luck with whatever other projects and communities come your way. |
