I was wondering what sort of Jobs people would like to take once they got out of collage, or maybe even during collage or something like that.

I have always wanted to be a Vet. If I can't have that, then I will try Genetic Scientist. If I fail at that, then maybe I will work for the people at Creatures Labs. :\

Heheh, I work as a dog groomer right now. I absolutely love it, though i wouldn't do this forever. I also want to work with show dogs, the specific grooming that is invonved with them. Though that's more of a hobby than a job.

I am in college in pre-med right now. With the hopes of becoming a Veterinarian. I have volunteered with vets before, and I know what i would love to do with it. However, it is pretty much impossible to get into vet school in this country and just as unafforadble.

So if that doesn't work out and I don't get into vet school at all, I'm thinking of trying to get into graduate school, getting a pHD in Anthropology and becoming a professor and doing whatever the hell i want.

After I've got my BA Hons degree in English, I want to train to be a teacher - Ideally, I'd love to work in a primary school and teach Year 3 children. (That's the equivalent of Grade 2 in America).

I'd also love to be a concert pianist. :P But I think that's a pipe dream.

Currently I'm working on my AAS in Visual Art and Design - Multimedia Emphasis. I'd like to do just about anything artsy, really. Sing, act, paint, dance, whatever. I really like to do them all, so we'll see where I end up.

.... I'd really like to continue doing musical theatre, if things turn out how I'd like.

The 7-8 year olds in the school I volunteer in aren't so bad really, (and that's coming from me!). I work in a year 3 class every Friday and these children are surprisingly well behaved... And they love me helping out in their class, which helps. :P Yeah, I think I could quite happily teach 7-8 year olds... If they misbehaved, they'd soon learn to behave in my class. Haha.

I dunno; babies are smarter than most people give them credit for. My mum claims I started "reading" at 20 months (apparantly I threw some of the nurses into a sort of stupor during a pediatric exam when I started naming letters off of the eye chart...). That said, nothing's really seem to come out of it for me....

Anyway, when I was, like, 12, I wanted to get into the video game industry so I could work at Cyberlife. :P And then everything kind of crumbled and I turned my focus towards science instead (the next best alternative). I'm not entirely sure what I want to do yet, but I'm fairly sure I want do do some sort of research.

A smidgen of me still wants to run off to LA and work as a television writer, though. >_>

You have to be honest with yourself when you are writing. If that leads to somewhere unexpected then perhaps you really needed to go there.

I would dearly love to live off creating art work, but I doubt I'll ever be good enough or find my way into the buinsess. Also the fact I rarely want to part with finished drawings, even birthday cards for other people. I'll probably end up in a job I dont like much, such as a graphic designer (Which the careers woman at school seemed to think I'd be good at for some reason) but have my paints and sketchbook to come home to after a long hard day :)

My big ambition is a job in comedy. However, it's an extremely tough industry, but I'm going to keep on going and going until it pays off, and if you're that serious about it, it'll pay off in the end. I did want to do stand-up, but I've changed my mind. Stand-up is very cut-throat and I'd be far better at creating and performing stage shows.

I want to go to a uni in London and do a performing arts degree, find a comedy partner, write stage shows, and perform them at a small London theatre regularly. Now this bit is the dream: Then, take our show up to the Edinburgh festival and if we're extremely lucky, win a perrie/eddie and get a TV show.

A bit too ambitious.

An author dosent just get a salary, its very rare you could get a book published, so I would enjoy being an author, but I would hate the pay.
I need a job that payes by salary and comission. That would rock.

Its not that rare that you get a book published - its just that to get any money out of it, you need to basically become a bestseller and the odds of that are slim. Unless you do nonfiction, then its a little easier methinks. But a lot of it is in advertisement, not just in writing good stuff.

A lot of commission jobs require too much effort. Like selling stuff. I guess its fine for social people who are good with that sort of thing. Otherwise... too much. Well okay, I work for commission, I work as a dog groomer and make forty percent of the cost of the dogs that I groom. But there's no salary behind that to fall back on, that's only paid at chain store grooming shops like Petsmart.

Buuut I love my job and make more money in cash than most friends of mine that have check jobs.

I just felt like adding those two cents.

I think it's easier for teens to get bestseller books than adults because people are going to think "A kid wrote this? Woah!" I hope so, at least.

Once I have my Computing degree (roll on 2009), I'd like to do a postgrad degree to become a teacher in a secondry school. At the moment, I am thinking a Phd would be quite interesting too.

My dream job....well, I'd like to be a Rockstar having fun on stage for a day haha :P
