Animal Games?

Does anyone know games in which you play as an animal (not an anthromorphic one) and do animal things? And not just the ones everyone knows like The Endless Forest or FeralHeart (which is more like a chatroom with 3D avatars)

Already tried Goat Simulator? You play as a goat. You run around in a small town and lick and kick things.

Lets play plants! Photosynthesis... Photosynthesis... Photosynthesis...

Goat Simulator is too crazy.

In Shelter you play as a mother badger trying to protect her cubs.

Was going to recommend shelter, heh. There's a sequel I believe, both are on steam.

The old DOS games "Wolf" and "Lion", good luck getting them to run on modern computers (I never could get "Lion" to work) but they're probably still free to download on the internet somewhere. They may not have the greatest graphics but Wolf is still possibly the most realistic animal survival game I've played and I was addicted to it for a while, though it has its problems like if you play for too long, all the prey always dies out and you starve (I think there was some way to mod the game to stop that from happening but not sure). Someone was trying to make a new, online version of Wolf, but I'm not sure if it ever got a final release, just an incomplete beta version I think...

WolfQuest, a newer game where you play as a wolf, kinda like a 3d version of the old Wolf but less sandboxy and the gameplay somehow wasn't as good to me, it got boring pretty fast (and the online multiplayer is/was full of kids roleplaying, like FeralHeart), haven't played it in forever...

I haven't actually played it but Tokyo Jungle was a game for Playstation 3 (I think) where you can play as different animals trying to survive and fighting each other in a sort of post-apocalyptic Tokyo. Looked really interesting but I never had a playstation :p

There used to be an online browser-based multiplayer game where you could play as different animals like birds, squirrels, etc. but I forget the name of it and I don't know if it's still around... The bad thing about it was that the world would continue even if you weren't online, so you'd come back and your nest would be destroyed, your babies would be dead, etc.

There are a couple of games in development where you play as a dinosaur (Saurian and another that I forget the name of) but not sure when they'll come out. :<

Probably more games that I can't think of... The Shelter games look interesting too, especially the second one that's about lynxes and you can keep playing as one of your babies and go through different generations, but I haven't actually played them yet

That browser game punkmogwai mentioned is called WebEarthOnline and is shockingly still online after god-knows how many years. I played that a lot myself, it's brilliant and I wish it wasn't so horrendously laggy!

Tokyo Jungle is my favourite PSN game. It's more of a roguelike than a survival sim, but it has elements of both. You can play SO MANY different animals! Everything from rabbits to giraffes to fricken dinosaurs and almost anything in between. (Seriously: gorrilas, elephants, lions, cats, dogs, robot dogs, deer, chickens, etc etc etc...) It's ridiculously fun. :)

I've played Wolf and WolfQuest, the former is great! Tokyo Jungle and the Shelter games look cool, but I can't play them. I like WebEarthOnline, but I can't play it anymore because my browser blocks Java.

Shelter 2 is probably a better choice than Shelter, since it has a much better replayability and open world unlike Shelter which is more scripted and the same things happen pretty much every time. It also has a naming feature unlike the first game.

Also I personally didn't enjoy shelter, The game is rather unfair and cheaty on the player in my opinion.

How so? I'd love to know more.

I liked the first Shelter much more than the "open world" one, but I only watched videos, I didn't play myself, so I don't know how replayable it is.
