Darn. I hope you'll be able to play again soon, cptmashek! eBay, ho?
I won the Bug-Off yesterday with 127 points! The gold bug trophy is mine! I don't feel that the rest of the villagers tried too hard. I submitted my winning birdwing butterfly at around 3 PM, before visiting some friends, and they couldn't beat my record in 3 hours? Shame on them! The awards ceremony was cancelled though, thanks to my neighbour. I arrived home at 8:30 PM and was nearly at my front door, when he invited me in and kept me talking until 11 PM. And I wanted to take a photo.
On the plus side though, I bagged me a golden slingshot last night. Get in!
Besides all that, I'm feeling quite fed up with the game lately; I'm still smarting over my 3DS XL getting scratched, I need an axe for some landscaping and the Leif isn't selling one today, I've realised that I can't place the fountain where I'd planned it to be because I can't get it central, and laying paths is actually doing my head in. Nothing is going to plan and I'm grumpy about it. |

As most people are aware, today's my birthday (I meant to get something Creatures-related out earlier, but the thing I intended to release never got done). It's also Avril's birthday as well, since I didn't see a reason to not make it the same as my own (Nagako's and Rosaline's birthdays are on August 20th and December 26th, respectively).
So I fire up the game and step out of my house, and who could be standing right outside but Eloise. She leads me to her own house, and once I step inside....
Surprise birthday party time! And she invited Savannah and Bob, too! Best day ever. I should note the latter of those two was sick for three days prior to today, so it's even more heartwarming he managed to make it today.
I chose to blow out the candles first thing...which took some fiddling around since I have no idea where the microphone is on a normal 3DS. I think Avril might have done it automatically since she blew them out while I was still looking for the microphone.
As for my wish...there were any number of things I could of wished for, but I chose something AC-related. A long time ago, when I was still playing Wild World, I had a certain villager in my town: an octopus by the name of Marina. I loved her and we were BFFs for a long while. But one sad day I time-traveled to catch some sharks. When I returned to the present, I found that she moved away.
Now that I regularly play Animal Crossing again, I've been hoping that she'd move into Mabure someday. And as such, that's what I wished for. I told Eloise that she could spread it around. Maybe one day the word will reach Marina and she'll come to town.
I stuck around for around ten minutes afterwards, just having a good time. As much as I would've liked to stick around all day, there were fossils that needed digging up, mail to read, and shopping to be done. So I left, and Eloise gave me one last farewell wish.
That wasn't the end of it; I found I had a lot of mail today. Some of it was from stuff I did yesterday (I had Rocco over and he gave me something, for example), but as it turns out Graham, Rocco, and my in-game mother all had birthday wishes and presents to give me as well. Graham's letter in particular was really heartwarming (he was thankful to the stars that I was born). And afterwards everyone I talked to wished me a happy birthday. You guys are too kind. ;_;
In other news, Coach wants Rosaline to catch him a Peacock Butterfly. As per the first law of video games, despite being a common insect it absolutely refuses to show up; not even for the characters who aren't looking for it. I'll try and catch one of the annoyances later on, I guess.

Seems I'm the only one who posts regularly in this topic nowadays. I should get a blog or something.
Anyway, Mabure achieved perfect town status today. To celebrate, I immediately started funding the zen town hall renovation (and completely funded it; Avril has over 2.5 million bells in her savings account). I think I know where I want to put the flower clock, but as there's a perfect apple tree sitting there right now I think I'll wait until that tree's exhausted.
Also, I finally got my 10th villager spot filled in. Wednesday marked the first time in a while that I had a camper, and it just so happened to be Bluebear, the...well, that name's pretty self-explanatory. I decided she'd work well enough in Mabure and invited her to stay, which she accepted without too much convincing on my part.
Today she got her space reserved. She's next to the cafe, which after messing around with the villager reset trick was the best place I could manage out of three potential spaces (she bowled over a perfect apple tree and I had to rearrange the paths around that area a bit, but the other two spaces were even more inconvenient). She'll be moving in properly tomorrow.
Once she's settled, I'm planning on trying to run Sheldon out of town. I don't feel like he adds much. He's a jock, which is my least favorite personality type as of now and of which I already have Coach. Furthermore, he's also a squirrel vying for the position of "small, furry creature" with Graham, who I really like. His house isn't in a bad spot though, so if I can get him to leave I'll leave that spot open for a future tenth villager.
And one more thing: Would anyone happen to know of a good 2 by 2 table that goes well with the Classic series? I need such a table for Rosaline's house, but I'm not sure what to look for (right now she has a balloon table, which while meshing oddly well with everything else isn't what I'm looking for).

Double posts aren't bad enough? How about a triple post?!
*Ahem*
Anyway, I spent the past week in a house with 3DS-friendly WiFi, and therefore actually managed to get some use out of the Dream Suite. I constantly updated Mabure's dream, usually at 7 PM-ish so visitors get some fitting music (I'd update at 1 AM, which has my favorite song in the game, but that's an inconvenient time for me to be up considering I'm trying to keep a "normal" sleeping schedule). Thus far I've had two hits; to those visitors I say thank you kindly. Naturally I'm hoping to get more in the future; hopefully it'll spike up a bit once I get the blog up and running.
I also took the time to visit some other town's dreams. Naturally, the first dream town I visited was Palette (the town featured in Chuggaconroy's Let's Play). It didn't seem like Chugga has been updating it, though (Kid Cat and Biskit were still there when they moved out and were replaced by Fang and Annabelle, for one). That being said, I still had a good time and will probably be doing it again once Chugga finds time to update it (if he updates it again).
Some other towns I visited were Nintendo's official town (got a new path design from there), plus a few towns I let Luna pick for me. Thankfully, none of them were horror towns or towns with...inappropriateness (though I did run into one villager with a questionable catchphrase), though a few were clearly in development.
Besides that, Bluebear had barely gotten settled in when Sheldon ran up to Avril and told her he was planning on moving. Thanks for taking the work out of it, mate. Since I was going to try and run him out anyway, I let him go (with all three characters; he felt the need to tell Nagako and Rosaline too). On August 1, he was in boxes. The next day, he had returned to the nether from whence he came.
With him out of the way, I have a slot open for a new tenth villager, and I've been thinking about my options. If Marina camps out at some point she naturally has first dibs, but if she never appears I'm thinking I'll try for one of the other two octopi (Zucker actually was a camper, but sadly he chose to come to town while Sheldon was still around and so I couldn't invite him in), Eugune the koala (who I met in a few dream towns and decided I liked), or one of the alligators.
And in other miscellaneous news: I now have T.I.Y. and can get K.K. Slider songs without having to wait a week. I am not looking forwards to the upcoming Gracie fashion checks; considering my pickiness with fashion, the fact that I never pay attention to the vibes Mabel/Kicks say about clothing, and the fact that Nagako and Rosaline have set outfits they never change out of, it's not going to be fun.
Speaking of K.K. Slider, Avril had him do a full-blown concert of sorts. The new song she got was K.K. Cruisin', but I also requested the songs I bought from T.I.Y. (and the few I got from the houses I streetpassed) so I could hear what the live versions sounded like (in general, the live versions are superior to the recorded versions).
Finally, Mabure experienced its first fireworks festival last night. Avril was the only one out and about during that time, and in that time she got all of the special items apart from the Ten Billion Barrel. It was a very enjoyable experience on the whole, even if the villagers who were out and about didn't have anything interesting to say.
The lovely phone came in handy today, although it also made Avril resort to a fashion sense she normally avoids. She had a bad case of the tripping today, and when she consulted the phone it told her that her lucky item was shorts...which, since she never wears shorts normally, she had absolutely none. Thankfully, the Able Sisters had some on display; she bought some relay shorts and that was the end of that. I don't think the sporty look she wound up having fit her all that much, though.
To end this off, that blog I keep mentioning is coming. I just want to get my 3DS XL and second copy of New Leaf before making it so I can chronicle the development of a town from the square one as opposed to only the mostly developed Mabure. I keep calling this new town "Camazotz" in my head, though given the origin of that name I don't think I'll call the actual town that.
Finally, just so I don't wind up quadruple posting, here's a question for you all: I mentioned that my favorite song in New Leaf (and at the moment the series; I can't remember any of the themes from Wild World) was the 1 AM theme. So, fellow AC players, what are your favorite AC songs?

*flails excitedly* I have animal crossing new leaf! Hi hi! Hello Hi! *runs around trying to shake everyone's hands* My towns name is Cerulean, there's flowers everywhere because I have no clue about making pretty, so I just let them go wild, much like I do with norns I've realized, oopsie. My town's fruit is Cherries and Ithink I have all the other fruits aswell, so if anyone needs/wants any fruits let me know
I have two townies I'm hoping will move soon, huffhuff, they are Victoria the horsey and a frog, I forget his name, he is green and looks cool, but he makes me miss jeremiah too much that had to move so the elephant would move, looong story! But he makes me sad, even though he's cool looking, so out he goes!
I love playing with friends! And going to the island to do the fun games there with friends is aweomesauce! So if you ever wanna exchange friendcodes and meet up please let me know
And for Grendel_Man's question, oooh favourite song, that's a really hard one, I don't think I have a favourite, I just load them all into my stereo and then change it every once in a while to another song whenever I'm 'tired' of that one for now |

I'm sorry for doubleposting, but I'm just SO excited! Frobert, the frog that I wanted to move told me today he's moving out on the 21st! .. Or was it 22nd... Something with a 2! I'm so excited! And the trees have started to turn green again! YaaaaaaaY! I see an end to this winter *dances* |

Ack, tripple posting, but I wanted you to know that Reese is buying all the Perfect Pears for double price today, so if you have any Perfect Pears and are looking to make some extra bells, let me know and I'll open my gates for you!
Also, today is the fishing turney! In my town you had to captivate sea basses, but I decided to skip, since I already have to many trophies and don't really have the room for more furniture in my closets, so the fish-furni I'm missing I can hopefully gather in a future tourney :3 How are you all doing in your tourneys? |

Awight, you've twisted my arm! I'm gonna pick up the game again later and see how far I can get back into it. I suspect I'll probably become too frustrated with all the weeds, and lack of landscaping in my town, but we'll see... If Stitches has moved out though, I'm rage-quitting. |

|
1/17/2015 | |
YAAAAY! Success!! And if you need a handwith the weeds I will happily help you <3 There's an achievement where you have to pull enough weeds to earn it xD And I can bring flowers too! And try to help best I can <3 So much fun! YAY! I'm already so excited |

Todays item is lemons! And I bought 10 turnips as well, going to be trying my hand at the turnip-market this next week! They cost me 92 bells a piece, which is quite high, but it's not up above 100 at least x.x
Isabelle didn't let me have the ceremony for the finished zen bell yesterday, because of the fishing tournament, so we had it today instead! Was much fun!
I'm refusing to talk to Frobert, because in the past when I have talked to animals wanting to move out they've suddenly changed their minds because we are 'such good friends' now! And I soooo don't want that! Haha. Victoria is strutting around in one of the zelda-shirts I made and trying to win points. At least the rest of the townies seem to like her, I just say no whenever she asks me of something She's next on the list! |
jcnorn
|
1/21/2015 | |
Frobert is all boxed up! So if anyone wants him they can come talk to him today
What reese is paying extra for today is the furniture! So you have your whole closets full of them and you wanna get rid of them? Now's the time
Thinking about what the next public works project should be in my town, I can't decide, there's a few I want, but I dunno where to put them! I have one spot, but Victoria is still residing on that spot! Pfffft on her! But I dunno any other places x.x will need to have a thinker! |

I have Lolly in my campsite if anyone wants her. I don't; she's already had 4,000 bells off me! I get the feeling she'll be too high maintenance. |

1/21/2015 | |
Awwww! Lol! XD Yes, they tend to trick you of your favourite possessions and lots of bells xD I love the cats though, they are absolutely adorable <3 There is one that looks all egyptian goddess-like :O |

I ended up inviting Lolly to move in, in the end. I've warmed to her, plus I need to maintain my 'crazy cat lady' image by having more than one feline villager in my town!
I'm not very happy with Greta. She asked me to catch a very rare stringfish for her, which I did after a couple of hours of searching. What does she reward me with? How does she show her gratitude for all my toil? A maze wall. It's not even worth a quarter of the stringfish's value! I'd better get a badge from Phineas, for good neighbourliness, at least... -.- I'm glad I managed to catch a second one for the museum though! |
jcnorn
|
1/22/2015 | |
YAAAY! Then I can come visit and hug on her! Haha So happy
Yeah, that's the downside of helping townies, you raaarely get anything worth more than what you give them It's a shame we can't see how far we are toward our next badges! I would love to see how many more I'd need to help to get my next helper-badge x.x
Todays priced item in my town is the perfect pears So if you have any, now's the time to come visit me for some extra bells The geyser is complete <3 and today Katrina finally stopped me on my way out saying she wanted to open up shop! YAY! But she had to tell me first that I needed a braided wig to unlock my good fortune with the opposite sex, the item was nowhere in my stores xD pffffff, oh well! I'm pretty high on the friendship scale with most of them, even though a boost is always nice! |

Where real life is concerned, I have done nothing productive today whatsoever. However, meanwhile, in my alternate 'life'... I finished collecting the ice series furniture set (which *only* cost me 39 snowflakes!) and I unlocked the museum renovation.
I really wish it was snowing in my town... I need that darn Coelacanth! Can anybody with snowy towns help me out, please? |

Yeah, it seems that way! On Sunday, I'll be setting my 3DS back to the correct day. It makes sense to do that while I'm traveling and visiting! I still don't know how I managed to set it one day forward by mistake. |

Oki! I'm thinking of only buying to see if there's any bugs from leaving them out on the ground, there's one for rotten fruit, there might be one for turnips too! Though it could just be ants, which I already have, but, better try and fail than not have tried at all xD haha |

Turnips instantly spoil if you time travel backwards, yeah. Time traveling forwards is okay, though.
All this new activity is making me want to pick up the game again, but I haven't done anything with either of my towns for quite a while and one of them I don't want to reset (too attached to my villagers). Could reset the other one, though.

And I've reset the spare town and started over.
My new character's name is Angel, and she is the mayor of Alcamoth (would have called it Agniratha, but that name didn't fit). The initial residents are Jitters, Diana, Grizzly, Bianca, and Egbert; quite a good starting selection by the looks of things.
Currently walking around getting to know everyone and then working on paying the down payment. Will do Isabelle's tutorials later.

If you're talking about the FC topic, I'm using my 3DS XL which has the FC of 5386-9780-1242.
Feel free to register the other one though since I play AC on that one as well. It's probably going to be a while before I get that town back up to speed, though.
Anyway, managed to pay off the down payment before Nook's closed and got a new skirt for Angel with the money I had left over. Working on finishing off the tutorial before calling it a night.
I'll be open to visiting other people/having other people tomorrow, though since Alcamoth doesn't have much at the moment I'm more interested in visiting someone else's town just so I can check out the shops if nothing else.

I love playing ACNL on an XL; it feels more immersive.
And Grendel Man, I'd love to have you visit Valentia tomorrow! You'll have to excuse the bits that are a work in progress, though. I did a lot of planning regarding where I'd put public works projects today. As far as shops go, I have the T&T Mart, the Garden Shop and Kicks. There's a good range of stuff in Re-Tail too, plus I'm sure I have some furniture going spare that you might be interested in. I also have two Snowmen, if you're playing Bingo, and a Snowmam who's giving away the ice series set for three snowflakes per piece.
I know you'll only have Nookling Junction and Able Sisters, but please can I still check it out? Your Nook's Homes might also stock a door, roof, or an exterior that I'm after! Your 'realtor' (aka Tom Nook) should be able to transfer the order over, if I remember correctly! |

Registered the FC-code listed here Will register the other one as well later
I'm all up for visitors too! I have four snowmen for bingo, the highest upgrade for T&T, kicks and shampoodle if you want to switch up your hair and I, as Laura, would love to visit your town too. I will mostly just say hi to all your villagers though When/If visiting me please explore and let me know if you want any of the flowers and/or fruit!
Today the silver fishing rod is also for sale in my museum! No silver shovel sighted yet sadly It used to be plenty of them, but nowadays it's mostly rods. Oh well. |

Okay, I've taken care of everything I wanted to take care of in Alcamoth today and so I'm ready for visitations.
If anyone wants to have me over, I'll mostly be looking at your Able Sisters and Kicks, as well as your Shampoodle. I'll probably check out your Nookling store as well.
If anyone wants to come over...well, there's not a whole lot to see, but maybe my shops will have something you'd like? I didn't buy anything today.
