Self-explanatory: None of the programs that make up Jagent will run for me. They run just fine on my laptop, which has the same OS as my home computer, Windows 10, but on my home computer, besides an empty command line opening and then immediately closing, nothing happens when I try to run any part of Jagent. Any help? |

Have you tried reinstalling/updating Java?

Yes. I've done that twice, and it still won't work. I've been able to get Monk running through PowerShell, but that's not the most convenient thing in the world, so I'd like to be able to just double-click the applications. |

I'm not used to windows, but might it be possible that it just opens the jars with the wrong program by default?
Maybe try some 'right click -> open with' stuff if you know what should start the jar; or look what your laptop does or just ask google about windows+jars and try that |

Is your computer allowed to execute the files? Try going into the properties of the .jar files and see if there is a tick on "may be executed as program".
That little checkbox costed me quite a few nerves in the past.

Namiraja, I've already used "open with" with a bunch of stuff in my Java folder, namely java.exe and javaw.exe, which are supposed to be the main programs and do literally nothing and the command line thing I described in the original post respectively when I try to open any of the Jagent applications.
Papriko, I can't find anything like that. Where would it be? |

Right-click on the file, go into properties and then somewhere in that menu.

That's what I did, and I couldn't find anything like that. I looked through all the tabs. I'll see if there's anything I missed when I get home. |

you sure that the java runtime environment is installed? i THINK that's required for java programs, anyway... |

Yes, I'm sure it's installed. Otherwise, I wouldn't be able to use PowerShell on it, which is a really clunky method of running Jagent, but the only thing that works. |
