Hi All~
I recently redownloaded Creatures 3 after playing many years ago as a kid. Definitely a different experience knowing what's going on a bit better and actually having some RL experience with genetics and animal training now
I was wondering if there were any tips or tricks to be shared about norn obedience to suggestions from the hand and the mechanisms controlling it?
My norns will without fail follow directional suggestion such as left/right but suggestions to push and otherwise interact with agents are rarely responded to and I can't work out why.
How does the tickle/slap system work to reward a norn for following suggestions? Are there more effective ways to encourage following suggestions? Does chemistry or genetics have a potiential effect on obedience?
Thanks! |

Do you know about the green attention arrow? As can be seen in this picture, the selected creature has a red arrow above it, and a green arrow which is above the object it's looking at. Trying to get your creature to interact with something it's interested in can really help in the beginning. It can also help to use the HoverDoc's 'star' panel, which has the drives. If they're hungry for starch, encourage them to eat seeds.
