Hi! I’m sorry, I know this has been asked a million times, but this time Google failed me.
I’m running Windows 10 64 bit and could not find the main install folder. Added everything in and nothing happened. I know the real folder the game is running from is somewhere on my computer, just not sure where.
Thank you! |

Check your primary harddrive for a folder called GOG Games. For me it's C:*\GOG Games (minus the asterisk, that's just to stop it from turning into a forum emoticon). It should contain every GOG purchase you have installed, including C1. |

Found it!
It was a hidden folder that didn't exist until I ran creatures the first time. Images were drawing from the main creatures folder and World.sfc from the one under users. Thank you! |

Interesting. Yeah, the GoG versions are great for ease of use and for keeping it functional on modern machines, but they're notoriously weird about installs and folder organization. The c3ds install is even worse.
That goes for other games too, there's plenty of older games that GoG pretty much singlehandedly keeps alive that they then somehow break all mods for by rearranging the folder layouts, for instance. |

Every time I tried a c1 modded world I kept getting "there are too many objects in this world" or something like that, and my norns would get autokilled. |
