This is for the 'Exodus' version of the game, which I got from GOG site, and which has no additional mods/add-ons.
Have noticed that the fish in the sm. pond (lower-right area) in the Norn's area disappear over time, and do not re-grow. Is it possible to get new eggs for them from any of the machines in the ship (looked at those in the Aquarium section, but did not see anything related to stickletrout)?
The Kingfisher now sits above the pond waiting and waiting and waiting...searched via Google and from what I read it seems the Kingfisher will not die-off from lack of Stickletrout, but still I would like to put fish back in the pond.
Tried picking up fish from the aquarium area and carrying them to the pond, but they died within a few seconds after dropping them into the pond (presume aquarium is saltwater and pond is fresh water?).
During searching I saw mods/add-ons for fish food, etc. that would assist in keeping the stickletrout alive, but I just got the game a few days ago and was trying to figure it out a bit before I start changing it or adding anything to it. (Never heard of the Creatures game prior to getting Exodus).
So with all that said, in the un-altered version, once the stickletrout are gone from the pond, can I bring them back, without starting the game again? When playing a new game, is there anything I can do to keep the stickletrout from dieing off?
Thank you for your time and assistance. |

Hi
There's a hidden control panel to replenish flora and fauna. Click on the Panel left of the recycler in the lower tunnel of the norn terrarium.
If I remember correctly, you should be able to add fish using the opening injector for the cost of some bioenergy.
You can feed balloon bugs from the desert to stickeltrouts if you want to help them survive.
That said, it's not a big thing to add items to your game and usually you can remove them again easily. So if you're sick of reviving your fish or feed them all the time, try the food agent |

Here's a useful hint: placing one of the Balloon Bugs from the Desert Terrarium in the Stickletrout pond should stop them going extinct. |

just make sure it's one of the ground crawling ones, or it'll fly off |

You can also use the Pond Fish Food agent the same way, just leaving it in the pond (if you cant find it in the Creator: it's actually at the end of the list iirc, not alphabetically under P) and the Ecology Kit agent has an option to spawn in more trout (when injected and with the panel installed, click the circle near the bottom of the extended panel to spawn new life wherever the green console is). |
