Hey all, just started playing this game after so many years of not, so I'm trying to ettin farm but my ettins hardly breed, they are constantly bored (I downloaded a perpetual teacup agent but that doesn't seem to be injecting) so I guess they just live out their years and die without breeding. Anyone have any links to working agents that are good with having ettins/grendels exist/breed? Or just any other recommendations to things that are awesome that associate with what I'm trying to do? Thx! |

Hey there! I think I have some ideas!
for breeding problems, Cupid's Lyre will usually get creatures in the mood by adding the appropriate hormones and stifling other drives for a while. For boredom, ettins get a lot of enjoyment from gadgets, but also to an extent from norns (I think?), so you could always add a single companion norn of a gentle breed for them.
For actual breeding and egg laying, they might want to approach the ettin home (desert smell) that there's Comfort candles for if you're not using the desert area.
With regards to the c3 desert, I haven't played with it in a while but I THINK it's radioactive due to the volcano in it, and radiation can sterilise creatures, so you could always try moving rooms!
Hope that was useful information! Feel free to ask more.

You may like to add in some Dragonfly Demon Ettins into the mix - they've got some good tweaks that make them much happier.

@doosh there really do need to be more gadgets for ettins to mess with, but there definitely is the dummy gadget , which functions like there tea cups, and within docking station itself, I believe that the hoverdoc and the floating cameras actually count as gadgets too. If you're like me and don't really utilise either, just move them to ettin height level and they have something to mess with!
Looking around the creatures caves for things that classify as gadgets, I'm getting the cocoa machine and the albian fruit basket albian fruit basket as possible additions too.
If we're talking ettin species, pink poodle ettins have some different behaviours and set ups that may make them work better, and Micro ettins have some tweaks if I recall that make them happy energetic lil bundles. c:
