Okay, so... I finished all the baby abyss dragon sprites, packed them, moved them to the right slot, installed them, and went into a new world to test them...
Then the problems began.
First, they hatched as aquanorns. Who are a totally different slot. Puzzled, I figured DS maybe just hadn't realised the files were there yet, so I fully closed it and opened it up again.
Next came the above complaint, but only when I tried to open the world with the babies in it. It said I was out of memory and should clear more space in my system - for reference, I have 100GB and 41GB free space respectively, and my RAM was only running at 60%. I tried wiping that world and making a new one, but got the same complaint just as the first egg was about to hatch.
Then I thought maybe it was just grumpy about only having the baby sprites for that slot, so I copied over the un-recoloured sprites for the rest of the life stages. That apparently only made it even *more* upset, as now it was saying that I had caused a runtime error.
So, um... any ideas what I broke? >.>

Does anyone have any ideas about this? I was really hopeful we were going to be able to do this.

there's this patch in the downloads section that increases DS's available sprite allocation
if you install it, does it work? maybe the problem is that the graphics are too large |

I also had a memory issue when working on my Basilisk sprites and this patch helped, it's a must for anyone making new sprites or simply using a lot of different breed sprites ingame.
