Yup that's right, Gamewaredevelopment.com is gone, but I'm sure it will be back, so don't panic. Gamewaredevelopment.co.uk is still there, and the DS servers are up and running. It was down again yesterday, but back agian today. I am glad I have the lsit for my Namesake run on paper as well as in posts. Yesterday was very fustrating. Stripes just aren't my color. |

A lot of what Gameware does is with other companies that don't want to get "scooped" - so they're doing stuff, and they're still trooping on, but they can't say what they're doing because of confidentiality agreements, or else it's just plain not all that newsworthy. My TCR Norns |

Gameware has already explained the situation in the studio diary... "As you may have noticed, the forums have been unavailable for several days. This is due to a rather catastrophic failure at our ISP. All the databases were lost and are very slowly being re-constructed. Painfully and slowly. Sadly, we can't say when the forums will be back online, nor are we 100% sure that all registrations, posts or threads will still be there (as some of our Studio Diary entries, sparse as they were, appear not to have made it back to the database). We're doing our best however and will post again when we know more!" I know it's not nice being uncertain about what's going to happen, but on the plus side, if the forums don't come back for a long time, at least we still have these forums and Albia2000.  All we can do is keep checking to see if the forums come back, and for updates at the studio diary. |

Lisa from Gameware has kindly taken time to post in this topic at Albia2000 and clarify the situation: "heh - no, we've not shut down, but the databases are a complete and utter mess. I have no idea what's going on with them ('though I've asked!). I'm getting the feeling that we're not going to see the old data back, to be honest and may need to start from scratch. And sorry, no Creatures 4 at this point, although we have absolutely not given up. No Creatures Mobile either, I'm afraid, but I doubt that will disappoint anyone unduly." |
