I try to help the CC through other methods now.   phr33z3     6/17/2008 Hey everyone, this is my first Creatures-related anything in 6 years, but I just got back into Docking Station after finding the CD where I backed up all my breed packs, so I'm back. I don't know if anyone remembers me or has been to my site, but I made a few breeds a while back, including one called Fungi Norns that were essentially the same idea as the Toxic Norns, but they came out a couple years earlier. Anyways, it's fun being back in the game and reading community posts about DS again, it's a shame the DS forums are down. If anyone wants to check out my site, it's www.geocities.com/snofgod5. If I get any inspiration, I might start updating it again. All my new breeds just used the game sprites.   ws1fish   6/19/2008 good evening all you're all witness to a landmark event in my life; this night marks my transition from border leech to actual member of community. You could say i've been around for a long time, in a sense; i remember reading about Creatures before it even existed, in some mid-nineties computer mag extolling the new vistas of possibility it opened up, and i looked at the pretty pretty screenshots and said THIS GAME SHALL BE MY LIFE. and that's more or less been true, once i convinced my parents that norns were not viruses and would not eat our computer from the inside. needless to say there have been hiccups since then; i never saw a copy of c2, i went three ways with school friends to buy a copy of c3, which we shared around on weekends, and every attempt to join the community has been met with a gameware graveyard, but i've kept dreaming my norn dreams throughout. then last week i decided to introduce my girlfriend to Norncare for some random reason, and she's been inseperable since. so i figure it is finally time to step up and make myself useful. firstly by using ALL the space in this forum in a single post, and we'll see where we can go from there. sorry about that. if we're not the change we want to see if we're not the change, who will be?   Caves Dweller Rascii Administrator     6/20/2008 Welcome to the community, and this website, ws1fish. - Rascii   Arnout   6/22/2008 Hi. I love Sid Meier's RTS games, especially Alpha Centauri, ohlawdy that needs a sequel so bad. I've always loved simulation games like SimEARTH and such so Creatures is no exception to the list. I'm an avid creatures fan, but I've never created things for the games. I tend to like older games more, they just capture my interest. Like the old Doom, SMAC, SimEARTH, Creatures... older things. Granted, I figured this out AFTER I made a new account, so I renamed the new one to "null" and just renamed the old one to my current name. So admins can feel free to delete the "null" account if it's somehow taking up space. Sorry :< Anyways, it's just the time of year/decade where I go around to all the online communities I was a part of when I was younger and see if anything's changed or if anything new and fantastic has come out of the community. But Gameware forums are dead and this was the first one I could remember off the top of my head (which is weird since I apparently never posted from this account), so... yeah.
