Pugilist Axe is a P2-name (Gen 42) Grendeltail. I have not spent as much time observing the most recent Grendeltails, unfortunately, so I can't offer a list of general traits they seem to have as compared to the Z-names of the last batch, except to say that they have all developed an attachment to the Ettin Home in addition to the Norn Home. They don't often try to go there due to their clustering habits, but I have been told they migrate to the desert in at least one other person's world. In mine I often notice them telling each other to 'maybe go Ettin Home'. Unlike Zen, a Z-name who exhibited a similar trait, however, most of them are not particularly prone to pacing that I have noticed. They do seem more prone to wandering, though, which might be a more exaggerated or refined version of the pacing trait?

Anyway, Pugilist Axe is one of the adults from the Bridge Cluster, the only one I have exported. This is because, in addition to being one of the 'bridge colonists', she has a couple of other unusual traits. Among other things, she is somewhat violent, and has a definite inclination toward cannibalism. Her name is due to the fact that when I first discovered the Bridge Cluster, she was busy smacking around the other members of it. I relocated the others to appropriate metarooms one by one, until only she and one other Norn were left. I selected her and watched her awhile with the CRC; she was 43 minutes old and either youth or recently adult when I began watching her. Pugilist thought of literally nothing except hitting or eating that other Norn until I finally separated them.

Oddly, when I put her in another metaroom with a large number of fellow Grendeltails instead of just a few, she seemed to shut down at first. Perhaps she was just too hungry at that point to be too aggressive. In fact she developed a massive door fixation, which might explain how she came to be one of the Bridge Cluster to begin with. Weirdly, the CRC's mind control functions were not able to break her fixation on the door. Putting a Cornucopia in her face and activating it a bunch of times to surround her with food didn't work either. She continued to lie on the ground thinking various things about the door (including but not limited to eating it), even though from her position she could no longer even see a door. She seemed likely to starve, but then in frustration I smacked her twice on the butt and, to my surprise, she reacted, finally. At first her thoughts just shifted from 'eat door' to 'eat dispenser', but it was only an instant before it went to 'eat food' and she began grazing. Whew! So she's able to eat on her own, more or less.

So far she hasn't begun hitting anyone yet, and her behavior as a new member of the Norngarden Cluster has been reasonably normal-ish (as Grendeltails go, of course - she still has the manky obsession and she still spends a lot of time thinking about doors and elevators, typical of the Bridge Cluster). However, the cannibalistic thoughts returned as soon as she'd eaten enough food and fruit for her actual hunger drive to recede, which is VERY weird. I really need to look at her genes and I recommend any who download her do as well. If the game had a way for her to act on those thoughts... well, she might be significantly more violent than she currently is. Don't let her get relatively isolated and hungry - that seems to be when she really feels the urge to hit. (Unless of course you're running a torture/killer world, in which case, isolate and starve her until she starts thinking 'hit norn' but not so long that she gets weak, then put her in with a handful of other Norns - ideally younger than herself but she was hitting older Norns too when I first found her.)

In fact, right now she seems to have locked on to the elevator. She's not actually pushing or pulling it, just standing around thinking about it. She seems to be being courted by a couple of males - I hear kissing sounds and she's in that crouch-cluster pose they often take when they're feeling a little friendly but not a lot yet - but she's not thinking a damn thing except 'eat elevator', and has not thought about anything except the elevator for at least five minutes. Weird Norn. Might not be very survivable on her own due to the strength of the obsessive traits in her, yet at the same time she made it to the bridge on her own, so who knows.

Another Norn near her just said 'eat norn', which means this cannibalistic trait might be more widespread than I realized - or it might just be one of those random times when a normal Norn happens to think about eating something inappropriate. Will have to monitor the others for frequency and persistence of such thoughts.

I am now exporting her; she is 47 minutes old, I think. Or 42. I looked before exporting but then promptly forgot. Doesn't make a big difference I guess. She's an adult and should stay that way for at least another hour and a half, so you have plenty of time to try to get her to breed if that's what you want to do.
