Silent Death Patch C3DS C-Rex | 6/11/2017 | 4 | Does what it says on the tin - it mutes the norn, grendel and ettin death noises. Simply copy the files on over to the sounds directory of any Creatures game for installation. Good for anyone sick of hearing norns or ettins lying on the ground moaning of starvation despite the nearest cheese vendor being two steps away. |

When the falter gene (that increases hunger for carb) is absent Creatures still suffer from EE syndrome. I think it's an engine bug or a CA bug, though I can't tell if the sudden increase in hunger increases the chance for EE.

Maybe the increased huger for starch induced EE syndrome?

I always felt norns got stuck when "faltering", and did absolutely nothing until slapped, instead preferring to "rest self" or "eat elevator".
If I recall correctly "faltering" greatly increases hunger for starch for a Creature, as some sort of last resort to get them to eat.

I always found them somewhat amusing - especially the Grendel one.

@NewNovaScotia: I always thought it was quite melodramatic to have a death sound. Real animals certainly don't make a noise when they die.

For some reason, I'm scared of the death moan. I always turned off the sound if one of my Creatures was about to die.
Does "faltering" do anything other than alert the player to a creature's impending starvation?
That's basically what it is, if I read the genetics kit correctly. It's a specific thing called 'falter'.

I always felt like them moaning on the ground was like the fainting mechanic in Creatures 2 but improperly ported.
